Blue Invasion

I have definatly been having a love affair with all things blue lately. Navy and pale blue are two of my favourite colours to wear, and my recent purchases definatly demonstrate this.

This stripy top is so cosy as it's already worn-in, and my slouchy navy blazer is currently getting a lot of wear. With this I wore skinny jeans and my doc martens. The boots were black, just to mix things up a bit...

Illuminated

I've recently been facinated by the combination of red and baby blue. So fresh and just a bit quirky.

With winter comes my annual delve into my mothers scarf collection. What I am going to do when I leave home I do not know... Perhaps I'll have to (gasp) buy my own!?

It's beautiful here

So very badly lusting after this above look. Perfect for autumn, blending masculine and feminine so beautifully.

Lest we forget

I found this dress at Supre of all places when out with friends a few weeks ago. I wore it out last week for teriyaki tofu (I know, I'm predictable) and book-browsing. I love the lines of it, it reminds me of a tutu for some reason. I put on my docs to tone down the girliness a tad.

Today is ANZAC day here and in Australia. I have just returned from attending the dawn service with my parents, which is so important to me.

Ahoy there

Cor, I have been a BAD blogger as of late. Sorry! Life tends to get in the way sometimes, and I have been busy with a plethora of tests and assignments.

In light of this... I have decided to do a month-long 'project' of sorts... For the next 30 days I am going to post every. single. day. Should be a lot of fun!

I have been visiting the Disposals store on K'Rd lately, and have picked up some very exciting pieces. This striped tshirt is second-hand from the French Navy and is wonderfully warm (not to mention cheap!).

Hibernation

Beautiful Jillian at Nova Style tagged me the other day.I am usually completely appalling at remembering to do tags, but this time I actually did it!

Seven things you don't know about me:
  1. I'm almost constantly cold.
  2. My favourite nail varnish is OPI Malagla Wine.
  3. I am obsessed with medjool dates. YUM.
  4. I'm taking an environmental ethics paper.
  5. I would love to take a portrait art class.
  6. I very much dislike bad manners.
  7. My sister has recently moved to London. (Hi Nadia!)

Top Gun

A few photographs from my gorgeous friend Chelsea's birthday on the weekend. It was a broad dress-up theme, so I went as a pilot: white American Apparel U-neck dress, navy knee socks, pilots hat. Somehow I ended up with my friends bunny ears on though...

Smiling shots to mix things up a bit! x

Seeing Red

Up until about a week ago I only had one or two red pieces in my wardrobe. Now I have significantly more. So strange, these fits of obsession.

This cardigan I saw at work awhile ago, and thought it would look brilliant if I chopped off the buttons and sewed on new gold and black ones. So I did. I am so pleased with the finished product, and my fetish-ness regarding chopping up clothes was satisfied.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful, love-filled easter! I was at the Easter Show all day with one of my best friends, and had a ball. Feeling slightly quesy from all the crazy rides though... Off to recover now!

Here comes the rain

It's rather shocking that I actually wore this a week ago and just noticed I never posted the images... Whoops!

I recently purchased this gorgeous navy blazer at work in the big big sale. It completely satisfy's my love of all things uniform-esque at the moment.

On another note, my goodness I am so excited to show you all what I snaffled up yesterday... SO exciting!

Watching me watching you

Techinically I'm on two-weeks of university "break" now... A few assignments and whatnot to pump out, but I'm pretty sure I'll manage to find some necessary warmer clothes.

It's a need. Not a want.

Cherry Toes

I'm not usually one to wear all-black as I tend to prefer more neutral palates, but this outfit was calling out to me this morning. I'm a little obsessed with this frumpy skirt length at the moment, and am longing for the mid-semester break at university so I can jump onto the sewing machine and whip up a bunch of new things.

I'm thinking of doing a sort of "how-to" skirt tutorial as well if anyone would be interested? Let me know if you have any requests!
